Australian 1st, augmented reality with gesture footballs on the MCG for the AFL and Essendon.

The kids loved it…

At the 2011 Arabian Travel Market in Dubai in May this year the Etihad Stage was more engaging than ever. tkm9 produced two 3D TVs (glasses free) for the event and a huge interactive flight simulator wall for tourism professionals to experience the new Etihad Boeing 787 Dreamliner before its release.

Last night, TKM9 projected across Sydney’s skyline to help celebrate the brand new and exciting partnership between Australia’s leading budget airline Jetstar and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

We created colossal projections that lit up the Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour. The museum was digitally decorated with Jetstar themed orange tennis balls as well as tennis stars Sam Stosur, Jelena Dokic and Maria Sharapova. The girls played a non-stop virtual tennis match on the museum roof throughout the night. Sam and Jelena attended a press event at the launch site and both were amazed at the scale of their virtual game.

The highlights of the night was an Augmented Reality tennis game where passers-by could see themselves projected onto the Museum playing with the giant, falling tennis balls. Users could juggle, catch and bash the balls across the building. The AR interaction is setting Jetstar apart as an innovator in the digital space, and TKM9 were only too happy to develop this cutting edge technology to help the airline celebrate the new partnership with the WTA.

This year tkm9 were extremely privileged to work at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2010 to deliver for the F1, Etihad Airways, Ferrari and YAS. tkm9 arrived in Abu Dhabi and provided the full service for the massive racing event, including emerging technologies such as, HD and 3D film, AR, motion control and much more.

The delivery included the filming the F1 race, in both HD and 3D, creating hype edits, TVC’s and as well feature footage. We designed and built four large interactive stands consisting of F1 gesture controlled augmented reality configurators, simulators and next generation information kiosks. tkm9 was also behind light and projection displays around the race as well as the animations for digital signage. Audio Visual controlled hotspots were provided during the race, so patrons could look up information live while watching the race. As well as providing and creating print assets for the teams and sponsorship.

It was an phenomenal event and tkm9 are extremely happy to be signed on for the next 3 years.

We are extremely proud of our tkm9 team performance.
